I was just making the comparison to Rita. A hurricane close on the heels of an historic one = more people will evacuate. My parents evacuated for Rita and were lucky to only get stuck in hours and hours of traffic to Dallas. But it was unnecessary bc Rita took a swing away from more populated areas.

I would add that in this instance the 'government' is just people. It's people who are working around the clock to clear roads, restore power lines, fly in resources... We can say more needs to be done without pretending that nothing is being done.

Yikes! I’ve been counting down the days until I’m old enough to get the vax but looks like it got to me first.

Good news is this rash just showed up Thursday morning so I got diagnosed early enough to get antivirals. Just waiting for Walgreens to fill the script and I’ll be taking the first pill soon. It’s only a 5 day course so I think I should be ok!
