BREAKING: A HUGE WIN FOR PEOPLE POWER! TGS have pulled the plug on the world’s largest seismic blasting project. Years of opposition from First Nations groups, communities, surfers, ocean lovers and the Greens have paid off. Pressure works. #seismicblasting#climate#nonewgas

Greens MPs Ellen Sandell and Sarah Mansfield stand in the dunes near a beach, holding a sign that says "No Seismic Blasting". Overlaid is text reading "TGS abandons world's largest seismic blasting project." A bubble in the corner reads "Thank you to every person and organisation who has fought for this!" The edge is trimmed by a dark green border with light green text reading "Breaking!"
Greens MPs Ellen Sandell, Katherine Copsey, Samantha Ratnam, Sam Hibbins, Aiv Puglielli and Tim Read stand on the steps of Victorian Parliament with First Nations people, climate campaigners and community members, holding signs that read "No seismic blasting", "A deaf whale is a dead whale", "No more gas", etc. Overlaid text reads "This project was bad from the beginning. Following years of campaigning and pressure, TGS has pulled the plug. Pressure works." The edge is trimmed by a dark green border with light green text reading "Breaking!"

Esso has leaked 21,000 L of diesel into the ocean - about a week after Victorian Labor approved their new Carbon Capture & Storage project without even requiring an environmental assessment. It’s time for governments to start properly holding these fossil fuel giants accountable.

Screenshot from the Mercury, with headline ""Deeply troubling" diesel leak threatens Bass Strait ecosystem", and subhead "Fossil fuel multinational likely to breach environmental law again the offshore petroleum regulator has found after a 21,000 litre diesel leak on an offshore facility in the Bass Strait." The article is by Elise Kaine and dated September 25, 2024. There is a decorative image of an oil rig in the ocean at the bottom.

Coles & Woolworths have been caught red handed, gouging prices and lying to shoppers. They cannot be allowed to continue to rip us off. The Greens' Supermarkets Industry Bill would stop price gouging and lower the cost of your groceries by setting maximum profit margins on essential items.

A tile reading "In shocking news (to no one) Coles & Woolworths are ripping us off." A Coles 'down down' red hand is pointing down to a headline from the Age, dated 23 Sept 2024 and reading "Woolworths, Coles sued by ACCC for 'misleading' shoppers on discounts."
Tile reading "When Coles and Woolworths say they've dropped prices, they are lying." Below is a snippet form the article reading "The products were then subject to price rises of at least 15 per cent for brief periods, before being placed in Woolworths' 'Prices Dropped' promotion and Coles' 'Down Down' promotion, at prices lower than during the price spike but higher than, or the same as, the regular price that applied before the price spike."
"The Greens have a plan to fix this. Our Supermarkets Industry Bill, currently before the Victorian Parliament, would:
 - Stop price gouging
 - Lower the cost of your groceries
 - Set maximum profit margins on essentials like milk, bread and cheese."
"Labor needs to back our plan to stop price gouging, so we can drive down grocery prices."

Storing carbon in old wells and pipes in the ocean has been a colossal failure around the world - but Vic Labor have allowed fossil fuel giant Esso to store carbon under our oceans without doing an environmental assessment. environmentvictoria.org.au/2024/09/17/e...

Labor has two months to negotiate on housing. The Greens want Labor to negotiate seriously on their Help to Buy legislation, or face the consequences of failing to help renters and first home buyers during this Parliament.

Two part tile, with the top half having a light background and green text reading "The Greens are fighting for renters" with a decorative picture of people at a protest with Max Chandler-Mather MP holding signs with slogans like "Build public housing" and "Freeze rent increases".
The bottom half has a black background, and white and orange text, reading "Labor are fighting for wealthy landlords and property investors." Below are black-and-white images of Anthony Albanese and people representing a landlord and a property investor.
Another tile with a decorative black-and-white image of Anthony Albanese looking cross. The tile reads "This week, Labor tried to rush two bills through the Senate. Without negotiating. According to experts, one would drive up house prices. The other would drive up rents. Help to Buy will drive up house prices for 99.8% of renters. Build to Rent will give tax handouts to property developers to build luxury apartments. Not affordable rentals. The housing crisis will get worse."
Text reading "The Greens are giving Labot two months to work with the Greens on the things that will make a difference:
 - Ending the tax handouts for property investors
 - Freezing & capping rent increases
 - Building more public housing
Renters & first home buyers shouldn't have to wait for Labor to act. They deserve better."
Tile with another image of Max at a protest at the bottom, with text above reading "The Greens secured $3 billion for public housing during housing negotiations last year. We're prepared to negotiate. Labor should come to the table. Everyone locked out of an affordable home deserves better. The Greens are fighting for you."

The Greens used our power in Parliament to strengthen climate policy! A Bill putting the State Electricity Commission (SEC) into our constitution passed this week with Greens amendments that ensure it will only be used to drive investment in renewables or lower power prices.

A tile with decorative images of wind turbines and solar panels, with text reading "Greens Future Proofing Climate Policy in Victoria"
Tile reading "The State Electricity Commission was Victoria's publicly owned energy provider until it was privatised in the 1990s. (Yes, energy used to be publicly owned!) The Government decided to bring it back, but their new SEC was mostly spin & photo ops. So we got to work." In addition to the mostly-obscured background from the previous tile, there is an image of Premier Jacinta Allan in a hard-hat and high-vis turning a sod with a shovel.
Tile reading "The Greens secured significant reforms to:
 - stop future Governments raiding the SEC for cash
&
 - ensure funds from the SEC's public ownership go towards renewable energy & lowering energy bills.
But..."
Tile reading "The SEC is still not properly funded. Our next challenge is getting the Government to invest more in renewable energy. So that we can all enjoy cheap energy and a healthy climate."
