Do you know when we started non-citizen voting?

Looks like 1975 when the previous requirement to be a british subject was dropped. Other clth countries moved to citizen only voting, NZ went the opposite way. NZ also unique in 1 year residency requirement. That will have deleterious impact on māori. croakingcassandra.com/2017/07/24/i...
