I spent so much of 2016 railing at old friends in “safe states” who spent all their time joking about Trump on FB, not thinking about how many of their relatives in “unsafe” states could now think, “well, if even Liberal Cousin Ron thinks Trump is just a joke, I don’t have to worry about it.”

If you need a justification: Running up the popular vote total is a good thing even it won't make a difference in THIS election. A huge popular vote win (or, possibly, loss, eek) and narrow EC could (Lord willing) lead to the end of the EC.

I live in California, and like hell I’m not gonna fucking vote against fascism. Absolute insanity to do otherwise.
