This Friday teatime, I was walking back from church and some men in a car wound their window down and just shouted 'gay!' to which I shouted 'Yes, thank you!' (I have queer hair and rainbow shoes and a jumper with a rainbow rocket on it - I don't know if they wanted some kind of gay-spotting badge!)
Last Friday teatime, there was a man doing a copious wee in a bush in the churchyard, so I walked past with a loud 'God bless you!' and he thanked me and then said 'I had to do this', which ... I had assumed it was a biological necessity rather than a hobby, but there are other locations available!
Happy birthday, Amos!

Wales Move Day minus 7: Phone vets about gabapentin for the cats for the move, help load car with stuff for Emmaus, covid jab, start packing kitchen and utility, farewell social with tiny choir this evening.
Wales Day minus 8 (gobeithio!) Today: Finish Theology homework, packing, packing, packing, online Theology class. (I did these countdown posts last time we moved and had to reset the clock a couple of times, so we'll see)
It is _so_ soggy here! Many roads out of the town are closed, including the A421, which has been under water for well over a week!
I note from FB memories how often I have been ill at this time of year. This year, when I am not teaching, and have encountered zero (0) freshers ... I am absolutely fine. It's a mystery!
Today's 'catching up with my mates before moving' involved a lot of dark soggy A6 between here and Luton, but was worth it!
