Good article, Greg. You point to the need for a strong strategy wrt requirements gathering and budget control within IT teams. So often "shiny and new" takes priority over old but trustworhty workhorses.

I probably should have used better wording, but let my personal "omg, we needed to 2 years ago" creep in. We are a small team and managing 4 reporting systems takes up too much of time when 1 (PBI Service) would work for our needs. It stops me from being able to do the main work that I need to do.
