Good article, Greg. You point to the need for a strong strategy wrt requirements gathering and budget control within IT teams. So often "shiny and new" takes priority over old but trustworhty workhorses.
Have you done any testing to see if any of the LLM's do better? Off of the top of my head, it seems like Bard (Google) might outperform ChaptGPT or Copilot (Msft) due to Google Scholar capabilities.

Meanwhile, in Nashville, we had a full week with 10" of snow and temps ranging from 9 to -15. Weird!
We had about 20cm over the weekend which is very rare for us. We get snow like that about once every 5-6 years.
