My current workstation setup: I'm using a 14" Apple M2 Max MacBook Pro with 32GB of ram paired with a 27" Apple Studio Display, and an Apple Magic Trackpad. Laptop for portability, and an external display for productivity. 🧵
Hello fellow trackpad user!
The joys of Thunderbolt docking! My workstation is an M2 Ultra Mac studio. And a single 43 in 4k display. Thunderbolt has revolutionized how I do things.. I wish more folks could taste the power of this like you and I do... They have no clue what they're missing...
Pics or it didn't happen!
Damn that’s a nice machine. That’s what we give new devs on my team (the m3 max, no studio display tho)
I have no comments about the setup (I have long been put off of OS X and Apple hardware) But god damn, I also have an SM7b and an RE-20 🤔
I have since a few weeks the 15“ M3 MacBook Air with 24 GB RAM, and I really like it 👍
Will love to experiment with ARM64 on Macs. Unfortunately, my bank balance won't allow me to spend that kind of money on a setup that is only good for 7 years of official hardware and OS support. 💸
I use VMware Fusion when I'm doing anything that involves Linux. I can't justify running a VM in the cloud for development work when my laptop is this powerful.
That's a great setup.
What about a keyboard? Apple wireless?
