Every once in a blue supermoon, I seem to bump into someone who changes my life within the first few minutes of meeting them. I had one of those today. As we cried and bear-hugged one another, she spoke to me in Mando’a, heaping on heavy amounts of hope and affirmation. I needed that.

Ironically, the last person I met like this… was Ian. The only other person I could converse with in Mando’a… was Ian. The first thing she said to me in Mando’a, was the first phrase I ever learned… from Ian. To say this conversation was cathartic would be putting it mildly.
