I'm not sure why this is even controversial. Saying "this character who is a beacon of strength of feminitity, demonstrating that women do not need a man to be strong" and then saying "her mother lied to her, the reason she is strong is because she got it from her (rapist) father" is not a good move

I think King has a character voice problem as always and he nerfed the Amazons - a departure from the Cloonan run in tone. But I think what we are given effectively established Wonder Woman as an arbiter of Truth and symbol of hope so thematically the antagonist is a master of lies. Great 4/5.

Wonder Woman refusing to be brought in by the goverment. She knocks a bullet away from her with her bracelet, turning it into a stylized star.
Diana takes down the last of the strike team attacking her. The narration (from an unknown source) alludes to her attackers being fools for attacking her.
A pair of women in a cafe reacting in shock to the news that Wonder Woman, renowned hero, is now a fugitive of the U.S. government.
The last page of the issue revealing the narrator to be The Sovereign, a secret monarch of the U.S. holding the counterpoint to Diana's Lasso of Truth - A Lasso of Lies.
