Overheard my dad tell the fiber optic guy, "My youngest daughter is 43," and I thought, "Damn, my little sister is old."
Was I overly excited about Robocop being Hookman the first time I watched the episode? Yes. Yes, I was. But in my defense, it's pretty flipping cool.
And now I'm off work until the 21st because my roommate is having carpal tunnel surgery on Thursday and I decided to take a couple of days for myself.
Today ended up being a fun day out after work. I saw Nightmare Before Christmas and then ended up doing the Founder's Day Scavenger Hunt in my little town. It was a super nifty history tour that got me out and about in a different way.
So much fun trying to record a podcast and my brain has no interest in cooperating. Words, dammit. Where are the words?
Ha! Of course. If I'm taking myself out on a date, I'm going to be prepared.
I'm going to the movies on Saturday for the first time since 2020. Taking myself on a date to see Nightmare Before Christmas after work. Maybe if I buy myself a popcorn bucket, I'll put out.
I got home from work late because I was held up by the fire truck parade. Got a free front row seat at that intersection, though.
The panel went well. Humor is my default and it got me through. I was blessed to be on it with some super cool people from Skokie as well as my director. Not bad for my first ILA conference. I hope I can stay longer next time.
Heading to my first ILA conference ever where I will participate on a panel and pretend I know something about podcasting for library purposes.
