Definitely! I find writing when you’re in the mood for a scene infinitely improves what you actually write, too. 🐸 🎉

I write fantasy stories, so I aim for as close to a 60k total as possible (although occasionally it is a struggle to keep it to that!) I definitely overwrite in my first drafts though: my original draft of Elder Throne was 73k and it now sits at a neat 60k! (The editing stage was… intense 😂)
