Taking a break. Lost neighbourhood kitty last night. He was an old cat who preferred to live outside so he had a good innings, wasn't officially even my cat but still upsetting.
I'm a fucking idiot! Bug chasing an issue driving the backlight of the gizmo with PWM, it was a) never getting full brightness b) dimming when changing the state. Was thinking it was a power draw issue. Turns out I was trying to drive the PWM on the same chan as one of the servos
The lack of backlight control was annoying me so took the gizmo apart and debugged the circuit. Turns out that the R6 resistor was a pull-up instead of a pull-down so it was constantly turning on the transistor so the BL pin was doing nothing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fitp...
So the "automatic" compensation for the loss of service that happened almost 3 months ago has finally been sorted! As much as it was a PITA when it shouldn't have been, at least they gave what was due + 1 months of service.

Arteritis is kicking my ass today (well it as all weekend). Taking a break from the belt for a bit. Not because of any issues with the belt, but I need every little bit of comfort right now to rest. Once I can move without the need of pain meds normal service will resume!
