I recently decided to start collecting a few Golden and Silver Age comics. This issue of Magnus, Robot Fighter is the starting point. It all started when I was looking at some scans of Russ Manning's Magnus comics, and I happened to notice that they're actually pretty affordable.

Golden Key Magnus Robot Fighter # 16, Magnus punching a robot.
Magnus karate chopping a robot.
A dog menacing some robots.
Magnus dancing with a human lady.

Buckling up for my first re-read. (I havenā€™t read Solar Labyrinth yet, saving that until I have at least one re-read under my belt. Havenā€™t touched the rest of the solar cycle either.)

Stack of books: Gene Wolfeā€™s Book of the New Sun series, plus his short story collection Endangered Species, a chapter guide for the series, and Solar Labyrinth by Robert Borski.

This wasnā€™t on my radar at all before but Iā€™m going to have to check it out.

Is someone maintaining a public archive of Musk's deleted posts? The stuff he leaves up is bad enough, but the stuff he deletes is like evidence for a war crimes tribunal.

Just out of curiosity, if folks are getting newsletters from Substack as well as other platforms... ...are the Substacks making it into your inbox at a higher rate than other newsletters? (i.e., is Gmail whitelisting Substacks but not newsletters via Buttondown/Ghost/Beehiiv?)

One of the few articles on Mireault's work and legacy (published in 2009): web.archive.org/web/20090419...
