Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt alongside state election officials announced on Wednesday, the removal of over 453,500 voter registrations.
It's advanced because it can go forward AND backward
Literally the only thing this accomplishes is having tens of thousands of people discover too late that they can’t vote. Active registrations of dead people or people who’ve left the state present no danger.
I know the GOP does this to hurt Democratic voters, but look at who was purged. Given that Trump relies on irregular voters and reliably-voting folks who went to college are solidly Dem, is this possibly counterproductive?

If a "3rd world" country was as bad at elections as the US they would be gravely criticized and we'd probably call for UN election observers.
We hear a lot about how bad the electoral college is because of “c.100k low information voters” who will decide it for ridiculous reasons, but then every day you read of GOP legislative action or court cases potentially throwing out 100ks of voters and you just despair.
