Solar panels were cheapest source of energy two years ago (even with 4 hour storage),last year they dropped another >40% sodium batteries appeared and with projected price $40 kWh in few years oil will have hard time to compete (storage>8h too). wait 5 years and have a good laugh

Good sir, the point of this book is to explain why we are not getting sufficient investment in renewable energy *even though* it is so cheap and always getting cheaper. The reason is because capital considers fossil fuels to be more profitable.
