its fucking awful that Gen AI has only been around for like 3-4 years,(in the public at least) and has done so much god damn damage to society.

It really makes me mad because AI technology has done so much good before it became publicly known like this. Now that it has this horrible first impression, when this is inevitably dealt with I worry a lot of people will reject its good uses.
