After growing up evangelical/fundie adjacent, I haven’t been a regular church-goer for basically all my adult life. I am so proud to be a part of this one. For being a small, country church in the south they are surprisingly progressive and Do The Work and I just love that so hard.
In lieu of church services tomorrow, the able-bodied in our congregation is going out to help people in the county dig out from the hurricane. No fuss. No evangelizing. Just a group of people doing like Jesus and damn it if that’s not how you’re supposed to Christian.

Normally I'd hate this kind of wording, since it's often directed at minorities. But we're talking about privileged people being upset that other people are getting equality so
