Fun to correct a Latvian language excerpt of my book Gendering the Saeima: the Politics of Women's Representation in Latvia! It's being published as part of the Annual/Gadagrāmata from the Starptautiskā Rakstnieku un tulkotāju māja in Ventspils where I was a resident in 2023. 🇱🇻
Lovely views from the @winls.bsky.social conference at UW-Madison this weekend! Presented my chapter on interruptions in the Latvian Saeima and got nice feedback. Also had some great coffee and fun chats with colleagues who study legislatures all over the world. Thanks to the organizers!
Always fun to be back in Wisconsin! At UW Madison for a few days presenting at the Women in Legislative Studies conference and I started off the day with some fair trade coffee on State Street!
Busy National Voter Registration Day at Millikin University today! We registered 77 students and had so many volunteers at the table it felt like a fun political party of laughter and democracy. Thankful for the many people (students, staff and emeritus faculty) who helped us get out the vote!
We were on WJMU The Quad our student radio station at Millikin today talking about voter registration efforts and the importance of voting! Always fun to chat with and learn from my students about why they vote....we all have our why! What is yours? #Election2024
