I somehow had never put it together that Robert Butler directed the pilots for Hill Street Blues, Batman '66, Star Trek, and Moonlighting, among many others. That is one hell of a a legacy. RIP.

Like most people who have given thought to the situation and aren’t experts in the area, I don’t have simplistic answers as to what’s happening in Gaza/Israel. (I do think Hamas and Netanyahu must go, and I feel horror at the loss of innocent lives anywhere.)

What’s next? Smashing the windows of Jewish-owned businesses around the world? Burning books written by Jewish authors? Killing Jews? Sound familiar? If it doesn’t, it should.

So this is where we’re at.
