Okay. I just read that due to Climate Change! the season has been getting longer in the midwest. Still not wishing for early frost.

I read Tony Horwitz’s book Confederates in the Attic when it came out in ‘98. iirc he spent a summer with the rebels traveling to battlegrounds ending at Antietam. It was enlightening and entertaining. I also feel he was doing journalism so not critical, just, well, they’re not normal.
