This will probably be my first time in London that I actually get to do stuff *in London* instead of getting whisked away to a venue immediately, so if you can give me the coolest 1-2 things to do in like a four- or five-hour window, please do.

The British Museum has a lot of super cool shit that the Brits have stolen over the years. There's like entire temples they've lifted but it's worth going to just because the sheer breadth of history

It really depends where you are as whole you can get most places on the Tube it's not necessarily fast, especially from Heathrow. If you happen to be in the centre, the Science, Natural History or British Museum are bit obvious as recommendations, bit well worth doing, and also free to get into.

Here's a lovely smaller museum that you can wander round in an hour or two.

Too late I’m sure, but the museums are great and free to enter. Imperial war museum, natural history museum, science museum, British museum, V&A museum. They might require pre-booking as a covid hangover, or that might be gone now. But they should all be free and are great.

The Wallace collection is just off Oxford street, and it’s less a museum than some rich guy’s house that he’s filled with nice things, so you have Fragonard’s The Swing, and the Laughing Cavalier, and Joshua Reynolds beauties alongside cuckoo clocks and snuff boxes and armour

I've flown into London like four times but the amount of time I've actually spent in the city that wasn't Heathrow or the inside of a cab on the way to somewhere that was not London is actually 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds.
