There's a paradox here that we should be talking about more: we're surrounded by claims that technology is accelerating, & the rate of change is increasing all the time. But the economic data, apparently showing decreasing growth, seems to contradict this...

As a Yorkshireman brought up by my Irish mum with my half English, half American dad nearby, I always pause a moment on EDI surveys at the ethnicity / identity question. I wonder if Irishness is a significant if still minor factor in this work.
