Wonderful! I'll drop you a line tomorrow :-)
As for the writing, I'm currently working on it (😅)! But I have a rough draft I can send through if you're interested?
Thanks Gunnar! In the talk, I compared 'biotic' (e.g. physarum, xenobots, anthrobots, and other biohybrid robots) and 'abiotic' examples (e.g. LLMs, cellular automata, and social robots). This recent article may also be relevant to you as a recent example: www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
Mycelia directed sensing and control in legged and wheeled biohybrid robots.
I also took the opportunity to present some of my own work on the challenge of 'strange agents', with a focus on regimes of agency that appear to occupy a liminal space at the porous boundaries between organisms and machines. 🌱🐋 🦋🦫
I will be recruiting 💫two PhD students💫 for my new lab! (computational learning & memory applied to individual & interactive behavior: rouhanilab.com). Feel free to e-mail if interested and catch me at SfN! (poster 06 at 1 PM on Wed 10/09)
yeah really happy with the range of talks :D missed your submission of course, but look forward to seeing you there!
