Will's Ferrell's thoughts quoted here echo some of my own. There are trans folks I've known on both sides of their transitions. Getting to live as who they've always been makes a difference, and I want people, particularly the people I like and love, to be at home with their own selves.

Everything in this article is offensive, not least of which is the fact that the author offers no pedagogical solutions like universal design. We need disability justice in higher ed, not more gatekeeping and pearl clutching. www.chronicle.com/article/do-c...

Do Colleges Provide Too Many Disability Accommodations?
Do Colleges Provide Too Many Disability Accommodations?

Higher ed’s maximally inclusive approach hurts those it attempts to help.

In the now 13 years I've been writing about higher ed at IHE, I've experienced personally, and been witness to countless examples of administrative indifference to NTT faculty labor, but the absolute shivving being perpetrated by 4 tenured English faculty at Stanford is the worst.

Tenured Stanford faculty vote to purge their NTT colleagues

Now, I try to be amused, but it’s not working.
