'Bannann' is Kreyol for plantains while 'fig' is Kreyol for banana. Add confusion about 100 limes versus 100 boxes. So a delivery arrived with 100 boxes of limes (1000+ limes) and lots of plantains, not bananas. Since 'anana' is Kreyol for pineapple, they also brought a bunch of them.😂

Nah nothing to be embarrassed about. I have gone to calls for worse. If a patient thinks they’re having an emergency then they are until proven otherwise. That making you walk bit is a little concerning for their professionalism though.

World Central Kitchen to the rescue. They are one of the best charities. I’ll never forget how they helped stop a starvation crisis in Haiti after the 2021 earthquake as we ran the medical response. They fed us and every person who needed it. The great fruit mixup was also quite funny.
It’s nuts. I hate and feel guilty about having to consult nephrology for bullshit but the hospital policy requires it. Like, it’s 2am in the ED - I’m gonna admit that 14mm stone patient and get the basic treatment going and Neph can see them in the morning for litho. Why would I call Neph at 2am?
For real. Isn’t it like 30 percent live in what’s considered the coast?
