I think a lot of people get them not understanding that they're getting a completely different animal from a dog. I guess many people look upon wolves as majestic, wild kind of dogs that just wait for men to tame them or smth. I definitely had thoughts about getting wolfdogs as pets when...

... I was younger and naive. I did a lot of research then and learned what a huge commitment they, especially the higher the wolf content. That paired with stuff like winter wolf syndrome and the constant misrepresentation of dogs that look wolfy but aren't actual wolfdogs doesn't help, either.
