Agreed, it is NOT a great term, but 4 ply is also confusing because there are single ply fingering weight yarns 😆 We need a new standardized name

I ended up down a rabbit hole reading all about different ways of classifying yarn weight. I think I'm just going to have to be brave, experiment, and do lots of swatches every time I'm trying out a new pattern or yarn! (None of this would be a problem if I wasn't so lazy...)
