how we came to be as we are: we had a hard time back during middle through high school, we were grieving the death of our dad and puberty and (though we didn't know it as such at the time) dysphoria was taking it's toll. we were also bullied for being "weird". (1/?) #plural

we had heard a bit about masks and masking at the time so we decided to make a mask of our own. it was to be tough and quiet and numb to the pain we were feeling back then. we wore it as much as we could until it was all but impossible to remove. this mask eventually became Elias (that's me) (2/?)
