The denial of medical treatment for trans individuals will be looked on with the same disgust as we now do with barbaric homophobic policies of the past which saw the likes of Alan Turing destroyed. That doesn't help the people being harmed by it now. www.theguardian.com/society/arti...

RIP Alain Delon, who inspired me to buy a YSL mac from eBay in which I looked a total prick and which caused total strangers to shout ‘Inspector Gadget!’ at me from passing cars.

And blocked. Thank you.

RIP. In mourning until further notice.

Alain Delon with his shirt off as Ripley in Plein Soleil aka Purple Noon.
Alain Delon looking inscrutable in fedora and raincoat as the contract killer in Le samouraï.
Alain Delon with a moustache and a fag hanging out of his mouth, in a field, in Le cercle rouge aka Red Circle.
Alain Delon with another moustache, this time in Il gattopardo aka The Leopard.

More writers speaking up about Gaiman. Lewis Shiner: "I am relieved that sexual predator and narcissist Neil Gaiman is finally being exposed. I have first-hand knowledge of lives that he's damaged, and I hope more and more survivors of his abuse come forward."

You are in for a treat. We read the book for out book club and then had a chat with Soula on Zoom. She's wonderful (and so is her book).

Hi! Nonbinary author here. I write fantasy murder mysteries about a gang of sapphic witches in a queernorm world, and in The Undetectables one of the main cast is gender questioning. The sequel, The Undead Complex (September 2024), features a trans love interest! ✨

A trope map on an aubergine background with a photo of the Undetectables in the middle. The arrows read:
serial killer on the loose
sapphic yearning (bi MC, lesbian and queer bffs)
forensic entomology (magical)
witch-run PI agency
the (best) worst puns you've ever read
chronically ill MC (fibromyalgia)
ghost with cat ears (don't ask)
forensic science (magical)
dollhouse dioramas (also magical)
a faerie-run authentic dive bar (complete with sticky floors)
'astonishingly queer cast'
A white hand with black nail polish holds a copy of The Undetectables up against a forest scene, with autumnal trees, ivy and leaves in the background
