I love my trans kid and whatever dems decided today was the day to try and "gotcha" Trump for being too nice to incarcerated trans people can fuck off forever. And if I didn't have a trans kid, if it wasn't personal for me and my family, same answer. They can fuck off. We care for everyone.
And Harris especially *should* know better if she stands behind the work she claims she did to ensure incarcerated people in CA had access to gender affirming care. If you have talked to a trans person who has been incarcerated, or can even imagine what that might be like, you know better.
The point is to show Trump's hypocrisy, but I get that a lot of people in the trans community are concerned about pointing this out for very real reasons.
The message is obviously intended to undermine the resolve of trump supporters. I don't get how people are hallucinating otherwise.
have you heard the trump commercial they are referencing? this is a very specific reference, but i’ve only heard it watching baseball, it’s not everywhere.
I get what they were trying to do but oof did they choose a horrific way to do it. They should have countered Trump’s anti-trans ad with a full throated defense of trans rights not saying “Trump did it too.”
