I was there in the winter of 2004-5 which locals told me was a good winter. Given the amount of snow, I can’t imagine what a bad winter would have looked like.

Also, a very impressive art museum.

And yet, during my one year in Buffalo, they dealt with snow far better than any other place I’ve been. Maybe I just got lucky that winter.

Technically, I used NCSA Mosaic for a few weeks before Netscape came out but but my internet was more limited to emails and gopher servers for my first month online.

Popcorn and I have safely arrived home. No damage to house and I didn’t even lose power apparently. My cable and internet are out though.

Do you have any sense if Delaware independents resemble independents elsewhere in the country?

Last Popcorn in Jacksonville update? I plan to head home in a couple of hours so my next Popcorn update will be from Tallahassee most likely, but here’s Popcorn with her catnip mushroom enjoying her first hotel room.

Popcorn the cat rolling on her back over a stuffed mushroom.

Over 50% of the city is without power but the outage map suggests I have power though it’s not fine grained enough to know for sure. Tempted to go to the hell site to see if people are already complaining about their power not being restored yet.

Popcorn and I made through the night in the hotel. Got woken up by gusty winds once but it wasn’t bad here. Tallahassee seems to have made it through OK enough and I’ll probably head home this afternoon.
