Philosophy was all about inventing situations were you argued "ahh, but what if?" It was really cool fun, even if not necessarily that directly employable ahaha
All of ethics is a minefield.
When I was in hospital recently in ED, a number of nurses talked to each other in a language I did not understand. My immediate reaction was "great! That's likely to lead to much quicker understanding of my situation and a much more accurate shared picture for them both!"
eg Kant: lying is morally wrong means it is universally true. Utilitarianism - what are the potential outcomes of lying, in this particular case?
Do you? I am not sure about Kant. I tend to lean towards utilitarianism, with some fuzzyness around the edges.
