This kid was also caught drinking Sunny D out of last year's participation trophy cup, so...

I think this is largely true but there is something to be said for making arguments for Biden to inoculate lurkers. The person you're arguing with won't change their mind, but you may stop observers from falling down the rabbit hole.

I'm not saying that the New Deal coalition wasn't diverse. I'm saying that the Dems having consistent house majorities was because of the marginal impact of southern whites. We basically had 20% of the house on lock and fought with the GOP over the other 80%

This is a really really high level of granularity. That is implications for discovery in the Media Matters case.

What do you mean by "lets" (as in what should they do to stop it) and do you specifically mean Canon or any/all judges appointed by Trump?

It could *all* work if it was imagined as an older Napoleon trying to imagine his glory days and explain it to his hosts on St. Helena. Embrace it almost as an extended dream sequence and have it end with Napoleon imagining how he could've won at Waterloo.

They *are* prosecuting him though. I remember tons of people telling me it would never happen, "Teflon Don" and all that, but they did it!

People already think prosecuting Trump is political (which is dumb he clearly broke tons of laws) and it will cause problems even with normies if it looks like he's being railroaded.

I agree with you in principle, but then Neil Blomkamp makes District 9, Chappie, or Elysium and brings up topical questions of colonization, personhood, policing, and wealth inequality but the movie never directly addresses the themes it brings up and it makes me mad lmao

in both directions: in 1854 it was totally reasonable to see the United States flag as symbolizing protection of slavery, in 1864 the same flag was flying over Union Armies as they rampaged through the south burning down plantations. I think that's neat and a good idea! bsky.app/profile/wron...
