I believe you, I've had wildly different experiences depending on which instance I was active in. And no instance was great "forever", some just were for longer than others, as I said.
Don't get me wrong, I'm really hopeful for Bluesky (I'm kinda tired of jumping from one social to the other), but the Mute/Block/Restrict/Hide For Everyone tools in Threads were supposed to do the same, and in the end weren't enough. I'll be happy to be told "see, you worried too much!"
After jumping out of Twitter, settling in briefly in Mastodon, and trying to get comfortable on Threads, time to see if Bluesky is actually worth staying in.
I'm always careful with the words "it's a nicer place to be": Threads, in its first weeks, was honestly a super nice place to be; Mastodon has many instances that have been great places to be for very long. But everything goes downhill once the dudebros and fascism apologists decide to join
