EMTALA offers limited but essential protections for pregnant people in emergencies. Without them, people here will face morbidity and mortality--they will suffer unspeakable tragedies. They already are. The Court just made the situation in abortion ban states worse

This summer, the Court sent a similar case involving Idaho's abortion ban and EMTALA back to the lower court. Some (many?) believed the PR that Justices Barrett and Kavanaugh were so moved by the plight of pregnant people that they changed their minds. The foolishness. I could spit nails
