There’s quite a few settlement mags on the Adam Matthews Poverty, Philanthropy and social condition database.

The best things I have attended have been smaller, workshop activities that are more geared to my specific research & methodology. As a historian Victorianist i have found history conferences better intellectually, but BAVS is good for people!
