Most terrorism globally clearly comes from those who espouse a commitment to Islamic theology. But I am less certain about claims that violence of this sort is inherent to its major religious texts. Is the cause of this disparity solely due to conflicts and grievances?

Kind of shocked to see some of the leftist opinions on the situation in Israel/Palestine. While I unequivocally support freedom and human rights for the Palestinian people, I'll never, in any moment, support the terrorist actions of Hamas.

Realizing that earning about $30k a year places me near the global top 1% in terms of wealth has put things into perspective a bit more

With all respect to Mr Gates, the appearance of any individual on a visual like this is a collective moral failure

An infographic titled "Putting the World's Money into Perspective," comparing the total values of various financial entities using proportional pink circles. The largest circle represents all the world's money at $83.6T, followed by all stock markets at $66.8T, and physical money at $31T. Smaller circles show gold's market cap at $8.2T, USD in circulation at $1.5T, and Apple's market cap at $730B. Even smaller circles represent Amazon at $402B, and cryptocurrencies collectively at $100B. Tiny circles depict Bill Gates' net worth as double that of Bitcoin's market cap, and Larry Page's net worth, both at $41B each. Annotations indicate the scale of gold's value compared to Bitcoin and Bill Gates' wealth in relation to Bitcoin's market cap. The source "howmuch.net" is cited along with data sources at the bottom.

This has been quite the learning process for me since 10/7 and Palestine thereafter. Hope this isn’t dunning-kruger but the more I learn, the worse Israel looks.
