Cops are not medical professionals. They should never be given the power to decide who can legally wear a mask for health reasons.

As someone who needs to mask in public does this mean individuals like myself have to carry their medical documents and share their diagnosis with law enforcement? If they don’t do they go to jail? Seriously rage inducing.

From someone who is a legal assistant at a firm that handles a lot of criminal & traffic defense, these mfers don't even know the bare bones basics of law to begin with and violate citizens' constitutional rights on the regular. Medicine? I don't trust them to lead school kids thru a crosswalk ffs.

To be fair, in Australia they are frontline mental health workers, often forced to deal with people who should be but are not getting mental health care. I wish it was funny but the results can be deadly for both police and "victims".

I don't intend to go there, but I would just answer to the cop: "Mr officer, my health reason is that I'm currently infected with a respi pathogen". And, if they test you negative for all viruses, you still can say you were yesterday. No cop can beat that. No doctor, either. Just has to trust you.

100%. They're also not relationship counsellors, psychologists, search-and-rescue, fire fighters, lawyers, EMT, or any of the other things they suck up funding in order to do badly, violently, and often lethally.
