New poll finds half of Americans believe they'll never get COVID again. The data shows that COVID surges at high levels throughout the year. Denial is one hell of a drug.
When I talked about getting the vaccine, my dad's response was "You're still getting Covid shots?!" People don't believe it exists anymore.
Hey, maybe they "won't," because if you never test for it & it's always a cold/the flu/allergies, ayyy, you're good!
Are they the same 50% who will vote for trump?
Mind over matter.🥴
A few weeks ago I had a *crippling* GI situation for about a week, followed by congestion/runny nose that has persisted. No other symptoms. Got to admit it never occurred to me that it might be Covid, but now I see that diarrhea is more common in current dominant variants.
People have discovered they'll be forced to take time off work unpaid, so they have zero incentive to report it if they even bother to self test, so unless they're hospitalized, I expect 49% of Americans will never be diagnosed with -or admit to having- COVID again, too. 🤷♀️
🤦🏽♀️Swiss are even worse
I wonder what the percentage of people who enjoy surprises is
I wonder how much of this is because the public discussion about COVID has never been clear enough on the fact that neither getting COVID nor getting the vaccine makes you permanently immune.
Everyone has it and spreading it
