I've heard about NC more than Florida. I wonder if that's Florida is so deep there aren't photos coming out or NC had a lot of other factors in mountains that made this uniquely bad. Like mountain towns have single road to towns and also valleys.

Our power (upstate SC) was restored after a 34-hour outage, and we had it good. Some family north of us are still w/o power, and no estimate for restoration. Trees down everywhere. Flooding where there’s never been flooding before. The dominant sound outside, morning til night, is chainsaws roaring.
