Looking for people to take part in an online survey on interoception. Image description available. Thank you to anyone who takes part. Recruitment has been super hard given lots of students are on summer break. Links to studies below.

Validating a new gastric interoception scale. 

Researchers at the University of York are looking for people to participate in an online survey to refine a new scale that has been developed to assess how  we feel about sensations that come from our stomach; gastric interoception.

Taking part involves completing an online survey which asks you for some demographic information,  and to fill in questionnaires that ask you about your disorder (if you have one), sensations that come from your body, and sensations that come from your stomach. It could take up to 20 minutes. You will also be asked if you would like to complete the new questionnaire AGAIN a week later.

Eligibility: 
Are aged 18 plus 
Identify as having a gastric disorder (have a current diagnosis or think you have one)
Identify as having an eating disorder (have a current diagnosis or think you have one)
Identify as having NO eating or gastric disorder
Are fluent in English 
Live in the UK

Researchers at the University of York are looking to sense-check a new scale that has been developed to assess how we experience sensations that come from our stomach; gastric interoception.

Taking part involves completing an online expression of interest survey and attending an online interview that will ask you to verbalise your thought process as you answer the scale questions.

Eligibility: 
Are aged 18 plus 
Identify as having a gastric disorder
Identify as having an eating disorder
Identify as having no disorder
Live in the UK and are fluent in English

No proof of formal diagnosis is required
