My SIL lives in Albuquerque and she says at the height of the eclipse the coyotes started howling.

We were near a neighborhood and all the dogs started barking at the same time right as the eclipse went annular

We had a total one in SC like 5 years ago and the birds and bugs all got quiet and the bats came out, it was very surreal. Then the bats all hauled ass back home seconds later, very confused I assume.

What part of town does she live in? I didn’t hear them in my part of the NE Heights.
