Companies (even famous ones) doing badly/going bankrupt is partly a sign of a healthy economy where labour is allowed to be reallocated to more productive companies over time -- core part of Nordic social democracy, and the US is much better at it than us right now.

Sure, but those smaller and more productive companies are unlikely to be able to produce larger and more complex products that require long term investments like, say, Boeing.
