honestly tired of the refrain "they see us as men" no they don't, they see us as something else (women you can hit) they claim we're men to justify violence against us but it's clear no one sees us as or treats us like men i feel like repeating it is just degendering ourselves to each other

i block people who insist that transmisogyny is based in misandry it's not, it's based in misogyny and transphobia. that intersection relies on degendering us to justify the violence and discrimination as being our fault, something we did to ourselves. i don't care to hear it from friends and allies

A thing I thought about a lot back when I was a "really good ally". (Compared to cis women) it's socially acceptable to physically assault trans women. But if on HRT (as most of us are) then a trans woman will generally have no chance to seriously fight back.
