Well, really it's probably that they want to micromanage the thing that's still turning a profit, but they're too capitalism-brained to understand that they're the common denominator in all their failing lines and they should let the profitable people do their thing their way.
WotC has already had one blow-up that threatened to get OGL Crisis level because they accidentally included some AI generated stuff and almost a second time because people were suspicious that there might be some. Hasbro really does want to kill their only profitable brand, huh.
I saw that headline and all I could think is "They literally are refusing to listen to any feedback from WotC staff, aren't they? Because Hasbro's one and only profitable brand has already had two big backlashes over AI, and one was just because people incorrectly suspected it"
