I’m far from convinced that assisted dying should be lawful or that we should accept a failure to provide effective end of life care means we should give up on that. However, that article was extremely poorly written and set out. Of that we can agree

I’m torn on this issue. My fears are, since we can’t always guard against malign actors and protect the most vulnerable, there will inevitably be some who die not of their choosing. I also worry about the broader negative effect on funding and research on palliative care generally.

Unless I’m missing something, despite the UK being a friendlier government towards the EU than before, there’s very little chance or even possibility that anything substantive could be agreed, no? Isn’t that the whole point of the single market etc?

True but, a proper spoiler would warn you that you will probably fall for one of them, be in despair at a meddling priest’s intervention and shout at the stage/screen that it might be an idea to check if someone is actually dead before deciding to join them!
