OMG. Yes! Not only inventorying their casual cruelties, but also cross indexed with how many times those same people have caught covid, as well as maintain a formidably long list of known post COVID sequelae.

Not willingly but some words sear into your soul. Ok, scratch the willingly part, it’s actually essential data as to whom can be trusted or not, so needs to be retained. It used to frustrate me when words stayed so vivid despite brain fog, but you just explained why they do: it’s a survival skill.
