still setting things up around here and searching for old mutuals, but I’m Marianne, a Coptic illustrator, background artist in animation, and sapphic SFF writer :)

Depicted is an ancient, abandoned temple, lit only by a slash of cool moonlight from the left side of the frame. Round, pale columns line the east and west walls, set upon squared, dark bases. Centered in the back of the temple is a raised, stone, rectangular pool of water, where two nude women sit shrouded in shadow, locked in an embrace and kissing, their hair and skin damp. Their clothes, dirtied and bloodied, are discarded in front of the pool. An unsheathed sword leans against the edge of the pool. Behind them, upon a squared pedestal, remains two giant, stone feet of a destroyed sculpture.
Moiraine and Siuan from the Wheel of Time series lie in bed within a fishing hut, curtain half-drawn behind them, letting in a soft sliver of golden sunlight. Moiraine is on her back, dark hair spilled across her pillow and shoulders, her long, white sleeping shirt parted over her chest. Siuan rests to her side, leaning over her in a cascade of curls, her red, paisley robe slipping from her tattooed shoulder. They are smiling fondly at each other. Moiraine cradles Siuan's jaw in one hand and clutches Siuan's arm with the other, which lies across her middle, holding her side. Siuan's other hand rests atop Moiraine's head. Moiraine has one bare calf hooked around the back of Siuan's knee.
