I saw "Emilia Perez" last night. What a weird, amazing movie! Karla Sofia Gascon was completely magnetic in her role. I had no trouble believing in Emilia's charisma, while also making it obvious how and why she made the choices she made before and during the movie.

Emilia as a character is so magnetic that at times the movie completely forget about its protagonist, Rita, who is almost as much in need of redemption as her client. I wish the movie had spent a bit more time on her character arc, because Zoe Saldana did a spectacular job.
